2. Purpose of ParaColombia
ParaColombia was born with a simple purpose:
To connect people who want to help from the United States to Colombia, and anywhere in the world, with people and families who need support in Colombia.
The "One Kit, Two Impacts" campaign seeks to facilitate the acquisition and delivery of hygiene and well-being kits for people affected by the earthquake in Cali and, at the same time, reactivate the local economy.
Our commitment is to work with transparency, responsibility, and respect towards those who buy the kits and those who receive the aid.
3. What the user acquires
The products published on ParaColombia.com correspond to aid kits that can be acquired or sponsored by the buyer to be delivered to people affected by the emergency.
By making a purchase, the user understands that the acquired kit will be used to support a beneficiary person or family in Colombia.
The buyer does not acquire the kit for personal use, unless expressly stated otherwise in the product listing.
4. Destination of funds
The value paid for each kit will be used for the acquisition of the products that comprise it, its preparation, packaging, transportation, logistics, and delivery to the beneficiaries.
When operational or logistical costs are necessary to enable delivery, these may be part of the published value of the kit.
We seek for each purchase to become real and verifiable aid.
5. Campaign Transparency
ParaColombia may periodically publish information on:
- Number of kits purchased.
- Number of kits prepared.
- Number of kits delivered.
- Photographs of delivery days.
- General information about the beneficiary communities or groups.
- Testimonials or experiences from the campaign, when authorization for publication exists.
For the protection of beneficiaries, we will not unnecessarily publish private information such as identification numbers, phone numbers, private addresses, or other personal data.
6. Kit Contents
Each kit will have the list of its constituent products published on ParaColombia.com.
In case of unavailability of a product, supply difficulties, or logistical circumstances, a replacement may be made with another product of similar or superior characteristics, quality, and value, always maintaining the purpose of the kit.
7. Purchase and payment process
The user can select the kit they wish to sponsor, add it to the shopping cart, and complete the payment process available on the page.
Before completing the purchase, the user can review the selected products and the total value of the transaction.
Payments will be processed through the payment providers available on the Shopify platform.
8. Purchase Confirmation
Once payment is confirmed, the buyer will receive information regarding their order in the email provided during the purchase.
The confirmation will allow identification of the transaction and facilitate its tracking.
9. Withdrawal, changes, and refunds
Given that the kits contain products intended to be acquired, prepared, and delivered to third parties, requests for cancellation, exchange, or refund will be managed in accordance with consumer rights and applicable legislation.
When the right of withdrawal applies to a purchase made through e-commerce, it will be handled in accordance with current Colombian legislation.
Law 1480 of 2011 contemplates the right of withdrawal in certain distance sales and establishes specific rules for money reimbursement in e-commerce operations.
To request a refund or exercise a right related to the purchase, the user must contact:

Copy: paracolombiagifts@gmail.com
10. We are not a foundation and do not promise tax benefits
ParaColombia is a private, solidarity-based, and independent initiative.
The acquisition of a kit does not automatically constitute a donation eligible for tax deductions or fiscal benefits in Colombia, the United States, or any other country.
ParaColombia does not issue donation certificates for tax purposes, unless in the future the legal and tax structure of the initiative allows it to do so legally. However, if requested through ParaColombia, we can manage a donation certificate from the Ministry Amor por lo Nuestro of the Church of the Nazarene in the city of Cali.
Each buyer will be responsible for consulting their tax advisor to determine if their contribution may have any tax treatment in their country.
11. Responsible use of the site
The user undertakes to:
- Provide true information.
- Use own and authorized payment methods.
- Not make fraudulent purchases.
- Not attempt to access information of other users.
- Not use ParaColombia.com for illegal activities.
-
Not attempt to alter or affect the operation of the platform.
12. Intellectual Property
The texts, photographs, logos, designs, videos, commercial names, and other contents published on ParaColombia.com are the property of their respective owners and may not be used commercially without authorization.
13. Force Majeure Situations
The preparation or delivery of the kits may be affected by circumstances beyond our control, including emergencies, mobility restrictions, transportation problems, natural disasters, product availability, technological failures, or public order situations.
In these cases, we will make reasonable efforts to fulfill the purpose of the campaign.
14. Modification of these terms
These terms may be updated when necessary to reflect changes in the campaign, platform, payment processes, or applicable legislation.
The current version will be permanently available on ParaColombia.com.
15. Contact and transparency
If you have questions about the campaign, a purchase, or the destination of the kits, you can contact us.
